Warming Green Smoothie

Ingredients: 

  • 1 medium size banana (peeled and frozen)
  • 1 cup of almond milk (or any other milk)
  • 1 handful of organic kale (fresh)
  • 1 small carrot (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 medium size cucumber (fresh)
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • 1 tbsp peeled, minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp of high quality turmeric
  • 1/4 cup of greek yogurt
  • 2-3 tbsp of honey
  • 1/2 cup of ice cubes (optional)
  • Hemp seeds (for garnish)

 

 

Instructions:

  • Add the kale leaves, banana slices, ginger piece, yogurt, cucumber, carrot, hemp seeds, turmeric, protein powder, coconut milk, and honey (if you prefer a sweeter taste) in a blender.
  • If you like your smoothie cold, add a few ice cubes.
  • Blend all the ingredients on high speed until you achieve a smooth, creamy consistency. This typically takes 1-2 minutes.
  • If your smoothie is too thick, you can add a bit of water to reach your desired texture.
  • Remember, you’re in control of the smoothie’s consistency. Some prefer it thick and creamy, while others like it more liquid. Adjust it according to your taste.
  • Pour your Warming Green Smoothie into a glass, garnish it with a kale leaf or hemp seeds, and your healthy and delicious drink is ready to enjoy.
